There have been so many adaptions to the recipe as it is so good and in this blog post I&#8217;ve modified it how my family enjoys it; with a thicker gravy. I\u00a0have used this recipe to help my kids learn to eat spicy food; simply adjust\u00a0the chilli and sugar ratios. The version I am blogging here is on the mild side and we love to accompany it with fluffy Jasmine rice, mashed potato or an Indian flatbread.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dev.lalaskitchen.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/KBD_9435.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1286\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.0.14\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/KBD_9435-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Prep and Cooking Time &#8211;\u00a0<strong>1 hour and 15 minutes<\/strong> | Serves &#8211;\u00a0<strong>4 to 6<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\u2013\u00a02 large brown onions, quartered<\/div>\n<div>\u2013\u00a04 garlic cloves<\/div>\n<div>\u2013\u00a02 teaspoon minced ginger<\/div>\n<div>&#8211; 2 birds eye chillies, cut (deseeded or leave out subject to chilli\u00a0tolerance)<\/div>\n<div>\u2013\u00a050g butter or ghee<\/div>\n<div>\u2013\u00a03 Tablespoon Keens curry powder<\/div>\n<div>&#8211; 2 teaspoon black cumin seeds (optional)<\/div>\n<div>\u2013 1 Tablespoon\u00a0sugar<\/div>\n<div>\u2013\u00a02 Tablespoon white vinegar<\/div>\n<div>\u2013\u00a02 Tablespoon Thermomix stock concentrate, chicken or vegetable<\/div>\n<div>\u2013\u00a01kg gravy beef, 2cm cubes<\/div>\n<div>&#8211; 1x 400g tin Ardmona crushed tomatoes<\/div>\n<div>&#8211; 100g thickened cream<\/div>\n<div>&#8211; 1\/2 lemon<\/div>\n<div>\u2013\u00a0coriander leaves, to garnish<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>ORIGINAL RECIPE LINK &#8211;<\/strong> <strong>\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.recipecommunity.com.au\/main-dishes-meat-recipes\/creamy-beef-curry\/t5cf6ed2-b62a3-527180-cfcd2-8r0jvmyn\">Creamy Beef Curry<\/a> by Toxy<\/p>\n<p><strong>METHOD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Add onion, minced ginger, garlic and chillies into the TM bowl and chop\u00a0<strong>5 sec \/ speed 7<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Scrape down the sides of the bowl and add butter. Saut\u00e9\u00a0<strong>3 mins \/ 100oC \/ speed 1 \/ MC on<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Add curry powder and black cumin seeds. Saut\u00e9 further for\u00a0<strong>2 mins \/ 100oC \/ speed 1 \/ MC on<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Add sugar and white vinegar then mix\u00a0<strong>5 sec \/ speed 3<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Add stock concentrate, diced beef and tomatoes to the TM bowl and cook\u00a0<strong>35 mins \/ 100oC \/ reverse blade \/ speed soft \/ MC on<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Add thickened cream and use your spatula to mix it through the curry and loosen any meat from the blades. Replace the measuring cup with the simmering basket. To thicken the sauce, continue cooking the curry\u00a0<strong>25 mins \/ Varoma \/ reverse blade \/ speed soft \/ MC off<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Transfer to a serving dish. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon and stir through before garnishing with coriander.
