For my dad&#8217;s birthday I was asked to make a Filipino fried banana spring roll dessert, called Turon. The ingredients I have used for this recipe is very Westernised and while the quantity seems like a lot, believe me when I say, these will get gobbled up so quickly and your guests will be asking for more. I hope one day I will be lucky enough to taste this yummy dessert, freshly made in the Philippines.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dev.lalaskitchen.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/012.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-169 aligncenter\" alt=\"01\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.0.14\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/012-1024x680.jpg\" width=\"792\" height=\"526\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Prep + Cooking Time &#8211; <strong>1 hour prep time &amp; 20 minutes cook<\/strong> | Serves &#8211; <strong>40 mini spring rolls<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>&#8211; 6 bananas<\/div>\n<div>&#8211; 1 can jackfruit in syrup<\/div>\n<div>&#8211; 2 cups brown sugar<\/div>\n<div>&#8211; 1 pack of 50 springs roll wrapper<br \/>\n&#8211; small bowl of water<\/div>\n<div>&#8211; oil for frying<\/div>\n<div>&#8211; honey for drizzling<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>METHOD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Step 1<\/strong>. Cut up the banana into small pieces and put into a bowl. The way I cut it, you end up getting 8 small, long pieces.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dev.lalaskitchen.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/022.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-170 aligncenter\" alt=\"02\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.0.14\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/022-1024x680.jpg\" width=\"528\" height=\"350\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Step 2.\u00a0<\/strong>Dice up your jackfruit and put into a bowl. Put the brown sugar into a bowl also and lay out your table ready for rolling.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dev.lalaskitchen.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/032.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-171 aligncenter\" alt=\"03\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.0.14\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/032-1024x689.jpg\" width=\"528\" height=\"355\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Step 3.\u00a0<\/strong>For each banana piece, coat it with brown sugar. Along with a few pieces of diced jackfruit, place them on to one corner of the spring roll wrapper.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dev.lalaskitchen.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/042.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-172 aligncenter\" alt=\"04\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.0.14\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/042-1024x680.jpg\" width=\"528\" height=\"350\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Step 4<\/strong>. Fold to create the turon and seal it using water. Below is a step-by-step how. Repeat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dev.lalaskitchen.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/052.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-173 aligncenter\" alt=\"05\" src=\"https:\/\/dev.lalaskitchen.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/052.jpg\" width=\"957\" height=\"416\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.lalaskitchen.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/062.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-174 aligncenter\" alt=\"06\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.0.14\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/062-1024x680.jpg\" width=\"528\" height=\"350\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Step 5.\u00a0<\/strong>By the end of step 4 you should have a nice pile of turon for frying. So heat up a generous amount of oil, enough to be able to coat the turon when in the pan. When the oil is hot, put some turon in the pan for frying. The oil should sizzle as the turon goes in.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dev.lalaskitchen.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/071.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-175 aligncenter\" alt=\"07\" src=\"http:\/\/192.168.0.14\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/071-1024x680.jpg\" width=\"528\" height=\"350\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Step 6.\u00a0<\/strong>Brown the turon on both sides by turning it over during the frying stage.
