So when I was done, I let my boys eat my props and lo&#8217; and behold, they were coming back for seconds&#8230; thirds even! &#8220;Chocolate mud on bread!&#8221; exclaimed one of my boys. &#8220;This is delicious mummy!&#8221; Success \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dev.lalaskitchen.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/KBD_7833.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-787 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/dev.lalaskitchen.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/KBD_7833.jpg\" alt=\"KBD_7833\" width=\"4288\" height=\"2848\" \/><\/a>Prep and Cooking Time &#8211; <strong>25 mins<\/strong> | Serves &#8211; <strong>approx 15 tablespoons<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>&#8211;\u00a0200g raw almonds<\/div>\n<div>&#8211;\u00a080g raw walnuts<\/div>\n<div>&#8211; 70g Medjool dates, pitted (about 4 dates)<\/div>\n<div>&#8211; 80g dark chocolate chips<\/div>\n<div>&#8211; 1 Tablespoon cacao powder<\/div>\n<div>&#8211; \u00bc\u00a0teaspoon salt<\/div>\n<div>&#8211;\u00a0macadamia or coconut oil, optional<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>METHOD<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 175oC. Place all nuts on a baking tray and roast until slightly golden brown, approximately 10-15 minutes. However if you prefer something a little more runny, this is where you can add your macadamia or coconut oil and mix until you achieve the spread consistency you like.
