I have quite a large extended family and after many years of having a small dining table, I finally bought one big enough to accommodate them all! So to christen the new dining table, we had feasts from foods of our respective countries. I made idlis and coconut chutney using the Thermomix for my husband’s family (the recipe is in Dani Valent’s In The Mix cookbook) and I made this for my family’s Filipino feast. Similar to the Leche Flan I posed earlier, Filipino Spaghetti is a staple at any party. It’s not like the Italian version which is full of aromatic herbs; this type of spaghetti is sweet. This type of spaghetti is also sold at popular Filipino fast food outlets McDonalds and Jollibee. Happy childhood memories fill my mind when I eat this and I’m so glad my kids enjoy it too.
